2017 American Inns of Court Professionalism Award for the Fifth Circuit

ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA—Eduardo R. Rodriguez, Esq., has been selected to receive the prestigious 2017 American Inns of Court Professionalism Award for the Fifth Circuit. He will be presented with the award by Chief Judge Carl E. Stewart and BG Malinda Dunn U.S. Army (Ret.) at the Fifth Circuit Judicial Conference in May.

Rodriguez is a partner in the Texas law firm of Atlas Hall Rodriguez, which he joined in 2012. He has advised his clients and tried cases on their behalf for more than 48 years. He has represented Fortune 100 companies as well as local and regional clients. Rodriguez began his career as an associate at the firm of Hardy & Sharp, shortly thereafter becoming a partner in that firm. Through his leadership as the senior partner, he helped develop the law firm of Rodriguez, Colvin, Chaney & Saenz, L.L.P.

From 2005 to 2006, Rodriguez served as the president of the State Bar of Texas. He is a member of the American College of Trial Lawyers, American Law Institute, and the American bar Association. In 2007, Mr. Rodriguez was recognized with the Good Apple Award by the Texas Appleseed Foundation for his efforts in the areas of social and economic justice.

Rodriguez has long been involved as a volunteer with youth organizations and sports. He has coached peewee football and youth basketball, served as an advisor to the St. Mary’s Catholic Youth Organization and the Villa Bethany Home for Girls, and volunteered with the Girl Scouts. He earned his juris doctor degree from the University of Texas Law School and his bachelor’s degree from the George Washington University.
