Training the Next Generation of Legal Professionals: Using Professionalism to Adapt to Change and the Role of the American Inns of Court

In nature, pressure is a creator of change: think diamonds, volcanoes, and the ocean floor. Society is also changed through pressures, and as society changes, professions must adapt to the needs of the people they serve. It is the same for the law. This discussion will focus on external pressures that are shaping the future of the law in the U.S. Hear perspectives from the Bench, the Bar, and the institutions that educate and train our future legal practitioners on how these societal shapers will change the practice of law as we know it, the use of professionalism in adapting to change, and the role the American Inns of Court can play in advancing the rule of law through uncharted territory.

Keynote Speaker

Dayna Bowen Matthew, JD, PhD, Dean and Harold H. Greene Professor of Law at the George Washington University Law School
