WICKED: A Musical About Objections INN Trial
This edifying and entertaining program dove deep into the land of OBJECTIONS, centered around the trial we've all been waiting for: The People of Oz v. Dorothy Gale. Dorothy was charged with One Count of Murder, for the killing of the Wicked Witch of the East with her house. Elphaba, aka the Wicked Witch of the West, prosecuted the case. Scarecrow served as lead defense attorney. Judge Oz presided. Familiar characters hit the witness stand, including the Cowardly Lion and Ms. Munchkin. Deputy Tin Woman ensured the trial proceeded without a hitch, and the attorneys made their objections. For each objection lodged, Judge Oz taught the observing INN members of the legal principles relevant to the objection, with the accompaniment of an informative (and entertaining) slide show. INN Members asked questions of witnesses, aided Judge Oz with rulings on the objections, and, in the end, rendered a verdict, acquitting Dorothy of all charges.
