Please help us endow the American Inns of Court Pegasus Scholarships
in honor of
The Honorable Randy J. Holland

Are You ALL-INN?

Support our historic initiative to raise $1M to endow the American Inns of Court Pegasus Scholarships. This flagship program, available only to Inn members, has been an integral part of the American Inns of Court for more than 30 years. We have sent 70 young lawyers, from all walks of the profession, and Inns across the country, to England to spend six weeks immersed in the English legal system. Scholars describe their experience as life-changing and return as strong advocates for the American Inns of Court. Many of them go on to significant leadership positions within their Inns. In exchange, we host two British scholars each year for a similar immersion program—providing a permanent link with Inns of Court in London.

This fundraising is in honor of the late Justice Randy J. Holland, a much-revered past-president of the American Inns of Court and a champion of the Inn movement. We have already raised more than $510,000 toward our $1M goal thanks to every member of our board of trustees, former trustees, members of our committee and its sub-committee, and generous contributions from law firms, Inns, and individual Inn members in the Delaware area where Randy Holland was best known.

Join the ALL-INN Campaign now! We can achieve our goal of raising $1M but only if we are ALL-INN. We must have your help!

We look forward to members, firms, and Inns joining together to make this historic undertaking a reality. Be sure to let us know which Inn you are affiliated with so that we can recognize your Inn and celebrate all of our donors at a reception in Washington, DC in July 2025.

About Justice Randy J. Holland

Prior to his death in 2022, Justice Randy J. Holland was a longstanding supporter of international cultural and legal exchange—with a special fondness for the American-English connection. Firm in his belief that no understanding of the American legal system is complete without a working knowledge of the English legal system, Justice Holland wrote and co-authored several books devoted to that principle. He participated regularly in “cross-pond” legal exchanges, and was one of very few Americans designated as an Honorary Master of the Bench by The Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, one of the four English Inns of Court.

As president of the American Inns of Court from 2000 to 2004, and in the many years that followed, Holland enthusiastically backed the Pegasus Scholarship  program. He wrote countless letters of recommendation, worked to ensure that British barristers and American Pegasus scholars had a premier educational experience, and wholeheartedly supported the program.
