The Mind's Mutiny: Mental Illness and the Law
This program examines the intersection of mental illness and the practice of law. Inspired by the Herman Wouk’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, “The Caine Mutiny”, members were engaged in discussion to determine whether the actions of officers to relieve a mentally unstable commander were justifiable. Presenters also provided members with best practices on how to handle matters that involve members of the public and profession with a mental illness.
